Anthony Chidolue Ojobo
Chairman

He has well over 30 years’ experience in telecommunications, covering areas such as, Marketing, Customer Services, Institutional Strengthening, Utility Regulations, Project Management, Public Private Partnerships, License Administration, Corporate Communications and Brand management. He started his career with the then Nigerian External Telecommunications (NET) Limited as a Commercial Officer in August 1982. Later at the Formation of NITEL Ltd in 1985, He was transferred to NITEL Zonal Headquarters, Falomo, Lagos as a Senior Commercial Officer. He was later moved to Shomolu Exchange of the Organization as the Business Office Manager in 1989. He was subsequently transferred to Festac Exchange as the Manager in charge of the Business Office from, 1989 – 1991. He left the services of NITEL in 1995. After leaving NITEL, he became the Managing Director of Fruitful Field Concepts Limited until 2000.

In March 2000, he joined the Nigerian Communications Commission as Deputy Director Projects in the Office of the Executive Vice Chairman /CEO. He was responsible for the Coordination of the World Bank Consultancy in the Commission on Institutional Strengthening and Development.

He was responsible for the Coordination of the telecoms services Demand Study carried out by Growing Businesses Foundation on behalf of NCC, preparatory to the Licensing of Digital Mobile Operators in Nigeria.

Later, he became the Deputy Director Administration in 2002; he was at various times; Head of licensing and Zonal Operations; Acting Director Support Services, Acting Director, Human Capital and Infrastructure and became the Director of Human Capital and Infrastructure in January 2010. He was redeployed to the Public Affairs department as the Director of Public Affairs in October 2012. The position he held until he retired from the NCC in October 2018.
